Sponsor Ziggy

Ziggy came to us from a retiring pig farmer. He and his buddy Fozzy (who has sadly now passed away at a ripe old age of 10) were the last of the farmer's pigs because they were his favorites. Sweet Farm came in and rescued them both! Even though Ziggy was the pig farmer's favorite, he still had a very traumatic life witnessing the slaughter of his other pig-friends and not receiving the gentle care he needed.

We've nursed him back to health, though he still struggles with the hoof issues so common to older rescued pigs because of how large they have been bred to grow. But he gets the best of care now and is loving his sanctuary life at Sweet Farm. He and our rescued pig Spuds have fallen in love! On a cold day, you'll find Ziggy and Spuds snuggling in the barn.
